We had the privilege of presenting “ECiDA: Building Distributed Data Science Applications” at ICT.OPEN 2022, an incredible event organized by NWO, which brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse ICT disciplines.

Hosted by the Dutch Research Council (NWO), this annual event serves as a hub for sharing ideas, fostering collaboration, and exploring cutting-edge developments in ICT. It’s a platform where innovation meets opportunity, connecting academia and industry to tackle pressing challenges in technology.
Our Presentation: ECiDA
Our poster showcased ECiDA, a solution designed to support the dynamic, consistent, and transparent development of distributed data science applications. By leveraging modularity, AI planning, and advanced lifecycle management, ECiDA simplifies the creation of adaptive and robust applications for critical environments like water and utility networks.
Some highlights from the presentation:
- Foundations: Dynamism, consistency, and transparency for evolving applications.
- Methods: Modularity, AI planning, recommendation systems, and lifecycle evolution.
- Implementation: Powered by Kubernetes, Operator SDK, and Istio for scalable, resilient applications.
Engagement at ICT.OPEN 2022
We had the opportunity to engage with around 50 researchers and practitioners, sharing insights and gathering valuable feedback. It was inspiring to discuss ECiDA’s potential applications and explore collaborative opportunities for the future.
